AB
1DateCash flow
21/1/2024-1000
37/1/2024600
41/1/2025600

Formula: D2: =ROUND(XNPV(0.1,B2:B4,A2:A4),2)

Result: 117.46

AB
1DateCash flow
21/1/2024-1000
31/1/20251100

Formula: D2: =ROUND(XNPV(0.05,B2:B3,A2:A3),2)

Result: 47.48

The 1,100 arrives 366 days later and is discounted slightly more than one year of interest.

With a zero rate

AB
1DateCash flow
21/1/2024-1000
37/1/2024600
41/1/2025600

Formula: D2: =XNPV(0,B2:B4,A2:A4)

Result: 200
