1. Who we are and what these terms cover
FormulaCamp (the "Service"), available at formulacamp.com, is an interactive Excel school in the browser. It is provided by Yerlan Darzhanov, Kazakhstan ("we", "us", "the Provider"). Contact: [email protected].
By using the Service (and, once accounts are available, by creating an account) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Orders, Paddle and Merchant of Record
Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle handles payment, calculates and collects applicable VAT/sales tax, issues invoices, and handles payment-related support and refunds. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms and Paddle's privacy policy. The Service itself, including the content and access to it, is provided by Yerlan Darzhanov.
3. Accounts
- Today you can use the free lessons without an account; your progress is saved in your browser. Accounts are planned: when they are available, to buy a paid plan or sync progress you will sign in with Google.
- Once accounts are available, you are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure.
- You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your country, or have a parent or guardian's permission. The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where the law requires). See the Privacy Policy.
- Provide accurate information and do not share paid access with others.
4. Plans, subscriptions and auto-renewal
- Free: theory of every lesson; practice in all Beginner lessons; the first third of each Confident-level track, rounded up; and the first lesson plus the first practice-sheet lesson of Analyst and Expert tracks. Ads may be shown on the free plan, never inside the practice workspace.
- Pro (coming soon): $7.99 per month or $49 per year; practice in all lessons, AI hints when enabled, progress sync across devices (when accounts are available), no ads. Certificates are not included.
- Pro + Exams (coming soon): $9.99 per month or $59 per year; everything in Pro, certificates, and the level and interview mock exams. The sample mock exam is free for everyone. Mock exams and certificates are issued by FormulaCamp for practice; they are not an official Microsoft certification.
- Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. Price and billing period are shown before you pay.
- Prices may change. Changes apply to future renewals only, and we will notify you in advance where required.
- Taxes are collected by Paddle where applicable.
5. Auto-renewal and cancellation
Paid plans are not on sale yet ("coming soon"). This section applies from the first purchase. The key terms are shown again before you pay.
- Price: the Pro and Pro + Exams prices are listed above, plus VAT or sales tax where applicable. Paddle may show the price in your local currency at checkout.
- Billing period and renewal: a Monthly plan renews every month and a Yearly plan every year, on the date of your first purchase, and the then-current price is charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel. Your Paddle receipt shows what you paid.
- How to cancel (online, no reason needed): use the "manage subscription" or cancel link in any Paddle receipt email, or go to paddle.net and find your order. Once accounts are available you can also cancel from your account. If you prefer, email [email protected] and we will cancel it or pass the request to Paddle without delay. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- What cancelling does: it stops future renewals. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription by itself: cancel first.
- Reminders: Paddle sends a receipt after every payment. For Yearly plans we recommend noting the renewal date. Where the law requires a reminder before a renewal, we will make sure one is sent (by Paddle or by us).
- Price changes: apply to future renewals only. We will notify you in advance where required, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
6. Refunds
Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms. In short: a 14-day refund for the first purchase of any plan. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, resell, redistribute or publish the course content, lessons, tasks or checking logic;
- share your account or Pro access, or circumvent paywalls, limits or the automatic checker;
- attack, overload or probe the Service, or try to access data that is not yours;
- use automated tools to access the Service in bulk;
- use the Service for anything unlawful or abusive.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including lessons, texts, tasks, spreadsheets, software, design and the FormulaCamp name, belongs to Yerlan Darzhanov or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own learning. You may keep downloaded .xlsx task files for personal, non-commercial learning use. All other rights are reserved.
9. Your files and content
You may open or work with your own .xlsx files in the Service. These files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers. You keep all rights to your files. You are responsible for what you open and for keeping your own backups.
10. Not affiliated with Microsoft
FormulaCamp is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft and Excel are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Other names may be trademarks of their owners.
11. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim for a reliable Service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, change or remove lessons and features. The automatic checker is a learning aid and may have errors.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any particular learning result, job outcome or exam result. This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yerlan Darzhanov is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Consumers keep all mandatory rights under local law.
14. Indemnity
If you breach these Terms or misuse the Service, you agree to compensate us for reasonable losses, claims and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from that breach, to the extent permitted by law. This does not apply to consumers where the law forbids it.
15. Termination and consequences
- You may stop using the Service at any time and, once accounts are available, delete your account (contact [email protected]).
- We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or if required by law, normally after notice where reasonable.
- On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Accounts deleted at your request have their data removed as described in the Privacy Policy. Cancelling or ending Pro does not by itself delete your progress.
- Sections that by nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive termination.
- Refunds on termination follow the Refund Policy. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first at [email protected] and we will try to resolve any dispute in good faith. If that fails, disputes go to the competent courts of Kazakhstan. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of mandatory consumer laws or your right to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence where those laws give you that right.
17. Assignment
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms to a successor or affiliate, for example in a business transfer, with notice to you.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the Service or by other reasonable means in advance. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the changes. If you do not agree, you can cancel and stop using the Service.
19. General
These Terms (with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy) are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. Terms may be provided in several languages; if they differ, the English version prevails unless local law says otherwise.
